Complex of ski jump towers
and training centre "Ugolyek"
Spring boards - 10, 20, 30, 40, 60 m.
The 1st 20 m ski jump tower was built in 1940
(record 18 m). The 2nd 40 m ski jump tower - in
1954 (record 36). The 3rd 60 m ski jump tower
in 1960 (record 57), after reconstruction it was
opened in 1964 (record 62 m), after reconstruction
- in 1975 (record 68, Blinov), after reconstruction
- in 1978 (record 73, Kustov).
Three sportsmasters were prepared. Two winners
of the USSR championships, DSO "Spartak and
"Trud" competitions.
The most great competitions - the USSR championship
for juniors of 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978.
Ski jump complex and the training centre "Ugolyek"
are in municipal subordination. The 1st spring
boards were built in 1940 and 1954. Young jumpers
and participants of Nordic Combination from "Ugolyek"
showed good results in Russian and abroad competitions.
They are: brothers V. and G. Butorins, V.Shumilov,
V.Storozhuk, V.Kuzmin, V.Blinov, S.Ovsyannikov,
P.Gorshkov, M.Aptinov, brothers O. And V.Shumkins,
V.Yalfimov, A.Sukhanov, I.Shumilov, A.Zimnukhov,
G.Yuzhakov, G.Zakharov, P.Krivoshei.
Traditional competitions on prize of the Socialist
Labour Hero Starodumov, some championships of
the USSR for juniors, Russian and Perm region
championships took place in Kizel's ski jump tower
complex.
