The Russian National Championships of ladies and men were held in Chaikowsky last week.
Denis Kornilov won the competition on the normal hill with jumps on 105.5 m and 96 m and 254.0 points. With the best performance in the second round, Dimitry Vassiliev moved up from fifth to second (99 m and 102.5 m; 249.5 points). The third place on the podium went to Alexander Bazhenov with 101 m and 98.5 m (247.0 points).
On the large hill, Dimitry Vassiliev was fourth after the first round with 129.5 m, the longest jump of the day on 136 m then earned the veteran the title with a total of 243.9 points. The second place went to Roman Trofimov with 126.5 m and 131 m and 242.5 points, Evgeniy Klimov, who was in the lead ahead of Trofimov and Pachin after the first round, came in third with 127.5 m and 125.5 m (235.9 points).
The ladies' competition was won by Sofya Tikhonova with 100.5 m and 94 m (236.5 points), ahead of Irina Avvakumova (96.5 m and 95.5 m; 231.5 points) and Anastasiya Gladysheva (83 m and 94.5 m; 195.5 points).
