Two different German teams
in Einsiedeln and Courchevel
Two different teams will represent the German Ski
Association (DSV) in the two upcoming FIS Grand
Prix competitions in Einsiedeln, Switzerland and
Courchevel, France.
"We are currently in an intense training phase.
Between the two Grand Prix competitions we will
have another training camp in Seefeld, where we
also want to jump on the hills of the 4-Hills-Tournament.
That's why the team looks different at the Grand
Prix in Einsiedeln and Courchevel", head coach
Werner Schuster explains in a release of the DSV.
"Marinus Kraus, Karl Geiger and Markus Eisenbichler
will form the back bone of the team. They will compete
in Einsiedeln and also in Courchevel. Also the two
youngsters, Daniel Wenig and Dominik Maylaender
will take part in both events. They have presented
themselves in a good shape recently and will get
the chance to compete with the world's best. Richard
Freitag and Andreas Wank will complete the team
in Einsiedeln, Andreas Wellinger and Michael Neumayer
will then jump in Courchevel", said the Austrian.
Severin Freund will not take part in the competitions
in Switzerland and France. After his tenth place
at the GP opener in Wisla the ski flying World Champion
will focus on training now and compete again in
fall.
