Alexander Stoeckl will extend
his contract in Norway
According to a report of the Norwegian newspaper
"Dagbladet", Alexander Stoeckl will remain
head coach of the Norwegian national team for the
next four years.
The contract of the Austrian, who is working in
Norway since 2011, is valid until the end of the
2014/15 season and shall now be extended until the
next Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018.
"Four years are a long time, so I wanted the
approval of my family", the 40-year-old is
quoted on dagbladet.no. Stoeckl, who was also one
of the candidates to follow Alexander Pointner as
head coach of the Austrians, considers his work
in Norway not finished yet and over the next years
he wants to "see progress made on all levels".
