Andreas Wank, Marinus Kraus, Andreas Wellinger, Severin Freund - FIS
The German Ski Association (DSV) announced its teams for the upcoming 2014/15 season on Thursday.
A total of eight athletes is in the training group Ia of head coach Werner Schuster. Besides the four team Olympic Champions Severin Freund, Marinus Kraus, Andreas Wank and Andreas Wellinger, who are the only jumpers with A-team status, also Richard Freitag, Karl Geiger, Michael Neumayer and Markus Eisenbichler were named to this group.
Olympic Champion Carina Vogt and Ulrike Graessler are the only ladies on the A-Team. There are in the training group Ia of head coach Andreas Bauer together with Ramona Straub, Svenja Wuerth, Katharina Althaus, Gianina Ernst and Pauline Hessler.
Maximilian Mechler retires
Pascal Bodmer and Felix Schoft are not on one of the teams of the DSV anymore, Maximilian Mechler has decided to end his career. The 30-year-old made his debut in the World Cup in the New Year's competition 2000 and achieved his only podium finish on December 6th, 2003 when he was third in Trondheim. At the ski flying World Championships 2012 in Vikersund he won Silver with the team.
