After a longer break due to the cancelation in Wisla (POL) the Continental Cup continues this weekend in Courchevel (FRA). The win in the first competition there went to Rok Justin.

The Slovene showed jumps on 97 m and 93 m on the normal hill and took his third win in the COC, the first this season. "It is my first time here in Courchevel. It is a great hill, very well prepared. I hope I can win again tomorrow", said the 20-year-old.

Pius Paschke was in the lead after the first round with 97 m, in the final the German then posted a jump on 92 m and came in right behind Justin with 266.7 points. "I already took part in a FIS Cup competition in Courchevel 4 years ago. But I was surprised when I arrived yesterday and saw this brand new sport center. It is very well organised because everything is on site. I hope tomorrow the conditions will be as good as today and maybe I can reach the first place."

Only 0.4 points behind Paschke, Ronan Lamy Chappuis of France finished third with 96 m and 94.5 m. This was the first podium result in this competition series for the 20-year-old.

With Daniel Wenig the fourth also went to an athlete of Germany, Karl Geiger (6th) and Jan Maylaender (9th) completed the great team result of the Germans.

Aleksander Zniszczol was the best of the Polish team on Saturday in fifth, the seventh place went to Robert Hrgota of Slovenia. Best of the Norwegians was Simen Grimsrud in eighth.

Manuel Poppinger still leads in the overall ranking with 354 points, followed by Michael Hayboeck (350 points) and Jernej Damjan (320 points).
