Norwegian jumping sensation has returned to the top of the ski jumping results list! The 34-year-old won today's PCR in Ramsau am Dachstein ahead of fellow veteran and jumping specialist Christoph Bieler and Eric Frenzel.

Klemetsen jumped 95 metres on Ramsau's HS 98 hill and accumulated 128,1 points: the pole position for the cross-country part should the Provisional Round have to be used in case of bad weather conditions. Bieler jumped half a metre shorter and would follow Klemetsen on the track with 4 seconds on time disadvantage. World Cup leader Eric Frenzel set himself up in a very promising position, just nine seconds behind Klemetsen. Akito Watabe claimed another solid fourth rank with a jump of 93,5 metres which meant 10 seconds of time behind after Klemetsen.

Local hero Franz-Josef Rehrl and German Tobias Haug created a stir during the PCR, occupying the leader board for most of the competition with two jumps of 93,5 metres and ex aequo 125 points which meant a fantastic final joint fifth rank for the two youngsters who visible enjoyed their stay in the spotlight. On the whole the Austrian team recovered from their mediocre results of the last weekend and placed 5 athletes in the Top Ten after the PCR.

As the PCR also acted as a qualification, 12 athletes did not make it into Sunday's competition, among them a couple of prominent victims. Björn Kircheisen will have to watch the Individual Gundersen event, along with Alessandro Pittin, Sebastien Lacroix and Taylor Fletcher. The two Norwegian Magnus Krog and Czech Miroslav Dvorak were "saved by the bell" and only made it into the competition because of their pre-qualified status as they are among the World Cup Top Ten.
