Only athlete on the A-Team is World Champion Sarah
Hendrickson, who is working on her comeback multiple
hours a day after suffering a serious knee injury
in August. With Jessica Jerome and Lindsey Van two
jumpers were named on the B-Team. These three athletes
also met the criteria for the US Ski Team.
“Our goal is to have more women on the podium We
want to start this World Cup season with a clear
idea of where we are compared to the other teams,
be more consistent, and be in the best shape possible,
and absolutely ready for the Olympic Games",
coach Paolo Bernardi said on wsjusa.com.
The anticipation for the first Olympic season for
women's ski jumping is already high. "As a
team and as individual athletes we're all looking
forward to this World Cup season. While it does
carry a little more weight with it being our first
Olympic season, we'll continue to train hard, prepare,
and have fun just like we do every year", told
veteran Lindsey Van.
