The 25-year-old was diagnosed with this infection
when he took a blood test during the training camp
of the Finnish team in Oberstdorf, Germany last
week.
"This is not a very big deal, it can be treated
with drugs. I just have to be careful with the training
during the therapy", Koivuranta told the Finnish
TV channel YLE.
Anssi Koivuranta already suffered from such an infection
in 2010. Back then this disease was also a reason
for him to quit nordic combined and just focus on
ski jumping, because the endurance training for
cross country skiing became very difficult.
